Lucena analyzing a Capablanca game with a board arrow, expected outcome, and candidate lines.

Review, analyze, and play.

The board, move history, and engine analysis stay together so you can follow an idea without changing tools.

Review games.

Open or drag in a PGN, move through the game, find mistakes and blunders, and branch into better continuations.

Analyze positions.

Load or copy FEN, then see expected outcomes, forced mates, board arrows, and up to five candidate lines.

Play against Caissa.

Choose a side, adjust think time and move variety, and save the finished game as a PGN for later review.

Your games stay on your Mac.

Lucena does not operate a server that stores your games or usage history. Local Caissa analysis works without an internet connection.

There is no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud game history. Optional Lichess tablebase access can provide exact results for eligible positions with seven or fewer pieces; it is off by default.
